Description

The package split has still not happened for ubuntu hammer, since we are releasing new hammer can this be done for this release?
As of now the ceph-deploy for hammer is broken without the split.

History

#1 Updated by Nathan Cutler over 7 years ago

  • Project changed from devops to Ceph-deploy

The package split will not be backported to hammer. This would have to be fixed in ceph-deploy.

#2 Updated by Nathan Cutler over 7 years ago

I'm not sure this is really a bug - you just need to use an older version of ceph-deploy, no?

#3 Updated by Vasu Kulkarni over 7 years ago

As a workaround using this should help: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/ceph-deploy/1.5.25

Vasu this is no longer an issue right?

I don't think this is needed anymore. Vasu, feel free to re-open if you need to update this with information.

#8 Updated by Nathan Cutler almost 7 years ago

  • Subject changed from ubuntu package split(ceph-mon, ceph-osd) handle in ceph-deploy to package split(ceph-mon, ceph-osd) handle in ceph-deploy

The package split is not Ubuntu-specific.
