openOS Recommendations do not handle distribution-included packages well
0%
Description
For at least openSUSE, ceph packages are included and do not need to be downloaded from ceph.com.
There are also products such as Red Hat Ceph Storage and SUSE Enterprise Storage that would lose support if someone installed a downloaded version of the internet somewhere ;-)
Would anyone terribly object if I created a new "OS" category for testing to indicate that this was done as part of the respective packaging, and a "3" note explaining that those distributions include Ceph natively, and work with the included kernel?
Or is this intentionally only listing the packages that are distributed via ceph.com - if so, I'd like to clarify that so that users aren't confused why ceph.com is not "endorsing" a given platform.
